Another Columbus
AMA exclusive, your Columbus Chapter of the American Marketing
Association brings you another benefit in the form of Special Interest
Groups (SIGs) as a way to glean more insights related specifically
to your job role and/or industry. Each SIG, comprised of a group
of your industry and/or role-specific peers (or others who are similarly
interested), is focused on delving deeper into the best practices,
news-you-can use, new ideas, tips and techniques, and current events
that have the potential to more directly impact your professional
practice in a specific subject area.
These SIGs are yet another way we hope to provide you with additional
opportunities to find high-impact tactics for your next "killer
campaign," that solution to your or your customers' pain points,
or that missing link that transforms your organization from "doing
alright" to being surrounded by the buzz you created in the
marketplace and being swamped with positive returns!
Your Columbus AMA currently provides a Professional Services Marketing
(PSM) SIG, and now, a Non-Profit Marketing (NPM) SIG. Other SIGs
focused on arenas such as Health Care, Technology and Market Research
are also in the works.
Want to get the inside track and competitive
advantage? Get involved!

fees based upon your AMA membership status)
Requirements for Membership:
A willingness to listen, learn and participate to grow your skills
and support a community of practice. Ability to share and discuss
lessons learned, new ideas. Openness to change, people, new ways
of thinking.

Can you do more? Yes!
We are currently looking for people who also want to take an active
volunteer role in helping support the on-going operations of existing
SIGs as well as organize, launch and manage new SIGs. As a volunteer,
you will not only get to enjoy the benefits of learning new tips,
tools and techniques to implement in the furtherance of improving
your job performance and your organization's growth, you will also
get to network with an expanded pool of professionals and "pay
forward" to build and support something that benefits others
(in addition to earning a nice addition to your resume).
If you are interested in taking on a bit of leadership responsibility
(no huge time commitment required) to help a SIG or SIGs of your
choosing emerge, thrive, and continue to provide value to their
members, please contact sigs@columbusama.org
with the type(s) of SIG(s) that interest you.
